Anna-Luella Zahner was born in Berlin. She studied Classical Ballet at the Academie Besso in Toulouse and Modern Dance at the Ailey School as well as Movement Research in New York City. In 2012 she received her BA in Fine Arts and Anthropology from Hunter College, City University of New York.
As a dancer she has worked for dance theatre and modern dance productions in New York, Prague, Torino and Berlin. She also worked as a pianist.
She currently lives in Germany and creates installations, video works and performances that combine her disciplines in fine arts, dance and music. She is co-founder of Atelier K4 in Düsseldorf, an art platform that organised interdisciplinary exhibitions from 2012-2013.
